Origin
A historical Roman wine estate lies beneath vestiges of a 13 Century estate, Domaine Preignes is steeped in history. A different style of wine, from the Vin de Pays, this 100% Petit Verdot variety, usually only present in miniscule quantities in the wines of Bordeaux.
Taste
An inky black appearance with dark and brooding aromas of cassis, pepper, plums and wood spice. Full and round on the palate with peppery spice and hints of vanilla and a long, lingering finish.
Enjoy
Ideal with saucisson sec, pâtés and pungent French cheeses.

    Couldn't agree more with Nigel. This is always on my list. Fantastic value, other Par Preignes worth a try too.

    outstanding value for money

    this varietal which is tannic and unyielding in bordeaux here gives a rich smooth wine with plenty of depth. highly recommeded at the price.
